Analysis:
A year after winning their first championship, the Heat were swept by the Bulls in the First Round of this year's playoffs. Ironically it was same team who beat them by 42 points opening night, foreshadowing things to come. While both Shaquille O'Neal and Dwyane Wade missed time (73 total games) due to injuries, many Heat fans and players attribute the season's woes to a lack of intensity.

From The Media:
"Don't overstate the No. 39 pick the Heat acquired from the Magic as compensation for releasing Stan Van Gundy from his consulting deal. Over the past decade, the only No. 39 picks of note have been Chris Duhon in 2004 and Rafer Alston in 1998."
