Analysis:
Memphis finished the season with the worst record in the NBA at 22-60. Injuries endured by Pau Gasol, Stromile Swift and Damon Stoudamire contributed to the Grizzlies' losses and led to increased minutes for inexperienced rookies. In December, Memphis relieved head coach Mike Fratello from his duties and Tony Barone stepped in as interim head coach. Jerry West announced Marc Iavaroni would take over as head coach for the Grizzlies in the 2007-08 season. Iavaroni’s first task will be to wisely use his fourth overall pick in this deep draft.

From The Media:
"True, Oden is a franchise-maker and Durant will be Mr. Highlight Reel. So assuming the Grizzlies keep and don't trade the No. 4 pick, there will still be other attractive options remaining on the draft board.”
