Analysis:
The Pacers have already reworked their roster this year with
the January trade that sent
Stephen Jackson and
Al Harrington to Golden State for Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Troy Murphy. The team improved after the transaction, but all chances of a playoff berth dissolved when the Pacers lost six of their last ten games. Disappointed by their 35-47 finish, team president Larry Bird relieved Head Coach Rick Carlisle of his duties,
replacing him with Jim O'Brien.

From The Media:
"The Pacers have no draft picks, thanks to two splendid moves, trading for Al Harrington and moving up in last year's draft to grab James White. How long was White here? Two weeks?"
-- Bob Kravitz,
Indianapolis Star
