Analysis:
The Cavs fell short in the NBA Finals, but they were the best defensive team in the playoffs. And they ruled the boards throughout the season averaging 43.5 rebounds per game, trailing only Chicago. Team leader LeBron James set the pace for the Cavaliers averaging 27.3 ppg. However it is not the regular season that most will remember. Seeded second in the East, the Cavs took out Washington, New Jersey and No. 1 seeded Detroit on their way to the first NBA Finals in franchise history. James averaged 25.7 ppg in the Conference Finals highlighted by a 48-point performance in Game 5, while rookie Daniel Gibson came up big for the Cavs with 31 points in Game 6.

From The Media:
"Sometimes, they might not look like they play good defense, but you have to judge them compared to other teams. These Cavs defend and they rebound, and they do it better than most teams."
