Career Highlights: Named Conference USA Freshman of the Year, and selected to the All-Conference USA Third Team. Named to National All-Freshman Team by The Sporting News, CollegeInsider.com and Rivals.com.
Freshman (2005-06): Led all Conference USA freshmen in scoring (13.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.2 rpg). Led the Tigers in free throw percentage (.786), ranked second in blocks (49) and third in steals (50). Posted five double-doubles. Ranked among Conference USA leaders in scoring (11th), rebounding (7th), free throw percentage (4th) and blocks (4th). Averaged 18.0 points and 6.7 rebounds over three Conference USA Tournament games and was named the tourney MVP. Scored a season-high 26 points against national runner-up UCLA. Grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds against Tennessee.
High School: Helped lead Laurinburg to a 40-0 record and the 2005 Prep School National Championship, as No. 1 Laurinburg Prep defeated No. 2 Hargrave Military Academy 95-83 for the title. Scored 13 points in the championship game. Transferred to Laurinburg from Hamilton High School in Memphis, Tenn. in February of 2004. Was ruled academically ineligible for his senior season (2003-04) at Hamilton. Named First Team All-State as a junior at Hamilton.
Strengths: Athletic and versatile forward who can play multiple positions. Shoots with range and has excellent ball-handling and passing skills. His length makes him a solid rebounder and shotblocker.
