An early entry candidate for the 2005 NBA Draft. Originally an early entry candidate for the 2004 NBA Draft before withdrawing his name from consideration.

Career Highlights: Signed by the Spanish club Tau Cerámica to a long-term deal in 2000. Was placed on loan to Araba Gorago Alava, in the EBA League, for the 2000-01 season. Moved on to Bilbao Berri for the next two seasons, where he competed in the LEB. Was promoted to Tau Cerámica’s senior team for the 2003-04 season. Former member of the Brazilian Junior National Team and a current member of the Brazilian National Team. Played at the 2002 FIBA World Championships. Won the gold medal at the 2003 South American Championship, earning first-team honors, and at the 2003 Pan-Am Games.

2004-05: In his second season with Tau Cerámica, averaged 8.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 19.0 minutes per game in the ACB. Averaged 7.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 17.8 minutes in the Euroleague.

2003-04: Debuted with Tau Cerámica, which featured Luis Scola, Kornel David, Andrew Betts, Andres Nocioni and Arvydas Macijauskas. Posted 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in ACB action and 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in Euroleague (EL) play. Scored in double-figures twice, registering 11 points in 12 minutes in an EL Top 16 match vs. Olympiacos and 11 points and six rebounds vs. Fuenlabrada during the ACB regular season.

2002-03: Enjoyed his second season with Bibao Berri, in the LEB1, Spain’s top minor league. Contributed 13.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per outing.

2001-02: Loaned to Bilbao Berri, of the LEB2, Spain’s second-highest minor league. Averaged 10.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks.

Strengths: Slender power forward with good athleticism. Shows good intensity as a defender and has a knack for blocking shots. Has a fluid mid-range jumpshot.
