An early entry candidate for the 2005 NBA Draft. Originally an early entry candidate for the 2004 NBA Draft before withdrawing his name from consideration.

Career Notes: First drew attention to himself when he helped KK Mladost from the small city of Nova Pazova reach the Division II play of the YUBA league, which had been team's best result ever (it later withdrew from the league due to financial reasons). He was then picked up by Red Star Belgrade, where played through 2003-04. Signed with Partizan Belgrade for 2004-05.

2004-05: Averaged 9.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in 25.1 minutes for Partizan in the Adriatic League and 7.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 20.7 minutes in the Euroleague. In seven YUBA League contests, averaged 8.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 22.1 minutes.

2003-04: In Adriatic League play, averaged 10.0 points and 4.7 rebounds as Red Star posted an 18-8 record. Also helped Red Star capture the title in the National Cup of Serbia & Montenegro. In ULEB Cup action, contributed 8.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game as his team finished with a 5-5 record in the international competition. Participated in the Hoop Summit game, an international exhibition match that pitted the top young players of the United States. Led the International Select team with 20 points on 8-for-11 shooting, converting 3-of-5 three-pointers and 7-of-8 free throws.

2002-03: Averaged 1.8 points and 2.1 minutes on a Red Star team that reached the Adriatic League semifinals before falling to the eventual league champion Zadar. Posted 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in ULEB Cup action. Red Star also reached the semifinals in the YUBA league, going 16-6 on the season.

2001-02: In 2001 at the European Championships for Cadets in Latvia, he was named to the All-European Cadets First Team after averaging 15 points, six rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 turnovers in 32 minutes of action over eight games. Was the top scorer for the Serbians and helped them win the championship against the Russian team. Also on his team were Darko Milicic and Kosta Perovic.
