Career Highlights: Unanimously voted the Big 12 Conference Player of the Year as a senior, while earning consensus First Team All-American honors. Named a Third Team All-American by the Associated Press after his junior season. Finished career at Kansas as the school’s 12th all-time leading scorer with 1,593 points and seventh all-time leading rebounder with 884 boards. Posted 59 career double-doubles.

Senior (2004-05): Led the Big 12 in scoring and rebounding and was the only player in the league to average a double-double. Missed four games due to surgery. Posted career-high 32 points to go with 12 rebounds vs. Oklahoma State. Followed up that game with a 25-point, career-high 20-rebound performance vs. Kansas State. Tallied 23 points and 17 rebounds at Colorado. Scored 30 points vs. Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Tournament semifinals. Led team with 24 points and 10 rebounds vs. Bucknell in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Junior (2003-04): Led team in scoring (17.8 ppg), rebounding (9.3 rpg) and free throw percentage (.811). Scored 20 or more points 14 times. Recorded season-high 31 points on 12-for-14 shooting vs. Missouri in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament. Posted 30 points vs. UAB, shooting 16-for-18 from the free throw line. Scored 22 points and grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds vs. Texas Tech. Registered 28 points and eight rebounds vs. Michigan State. Tallied 19 points and 14 rebounds vs. Oregon.

Sophomore (2002-03): Averaged 14.8 points and 8.2 rebounds in 24.4 minutes. Missed 22 games, including the last 11 contests of the season, due to a dislocated right shoulder suffered on Jan. 4 vs. UMKC. Recorded seven double-doubles and led the team in rebounding eight times. Scored season-high 23 points on 10-for-11 shooting vs. Emporia State. Recorded 21 points and season-high 13 rebounds vs. Colorado. Tallied 19 points and 10 rebounds vs. UCLA.

Freshman (2001-02): Averaged 8.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 15.3 minutes. Missed first five games of the season due to surgery on his left knee. Posted four double-doubles. Scored 10 points and grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds in collegiate debut vs. Wake Forest. Recorded season-high 17 points and pulled down 10 boards at Texas.

Strengths: Physical power forward who combines an NBA-ready body with a very soft shooting touch. An aggressive rebounder who never shies away from contact. Gets to the line and shoots a good percentage.

Personal: Majored in sociology. Nickname is “Big Dub”. Favorite hobby other than basketball is fishing. Would like to pursue full time ministry and/or politics after his playing career is over.
