Career Highlights: Named Big 12 Player of the Year by the league’s coaches and earned Honorable Mention All-America mention by the Associated Press as a senior. Became the first player in school history to surpass the 1,000 career point mark in only two seasons. Played freshman season at Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kan., and sophomore season at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Ill., before finishing collegiate career at Oklahoma State.
Senior (2003-04): Led team in scoring (16.0 ppg) and steals (2.1 spg). Scored 20 or more points nine times, with a season-high of 24 points against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Missouri. Posted first career double-double with 22 points and career-high 10 rebounds at Arkansas. Recorded 23 points and seven boards against Pittsburgh in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament.
Junior (2002-03): Averaged 14.4 points and 5.4 rebounds. Posted 20 or more points in six games, with a career-high output of 29 points to go with nine rebounds against Texas A&M. Registered 21 points, seven rebounds and four steals at Kansas. Was a consensus selection as the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.
Sophomore (2001-02): At Wabash Valley, averaged 14.5 points and 5.3 rebounds. Helped lead team to a 32-6 overall record and a fourth place finish at the NJCAA championships, where he averaged 22.8 points and 10.5 rebounds in four games. Named Second Team All-Region XXIV.
Freshman (2000-01): At Butler County CC, averaged 16.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.8 steals. Named Second Team All-Jayhawk West Conference and was Jayhawk West Freshman of the Year.
Strengths: Has the ability to take his man off the dribble and is adept at drawing fouls and getting to the line. Can change gears quickly and likes to stop and elevate for a jumpshot.
Personal: Majoring in education. Has two sisters, Ebony and Dominique, and a brother, Ryan. Enjoys listening to music in his spare time.
