Career Highlights: Sun Belt Conference’s Newcomer of the Year and member of the league’s First Team as a junior. Most Outstanding Player of the 2005 Sun Belt Conference Tournament. Scored 82 points in three games combined in leading the Ragin’ Cajuns to the tournament title and an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. Member of the NABC District 8 First Team. Played his first two seasons at East Tennessee State before transferring to Louisiana-Lafayette. Sat out the 2003-04 season under NCAA transfer rules.
Junior (2004-05): Led the Ragin’ Cajuns in scoring (20.4 ppg). Scored in double figures in all 30 games and reached 20-plus points 17 times. Tops on the team with 210 field goals made and second with 181 rebounds. Made four triples in the final five minutes to rally the Cajuns past South Alabama in Mobile. Was the Cajuns’ leading scorer in 26 of the team’s 30 games. Shot 81.7 percent (116-of-142) from the free throw line. Scored a career-high 37 at N.C. State -- an RBC Center record and the most by a Sun Belt player this season in regulation against a DI opponent. Averaged 20.1 points in Sun Belt play and scored 20-plus in 10 of the Cajuns’ 15 league contests.
Sophomore (2002-03): Was ETSU’s leading scorer with 16.3 points per outing and was third in rebounds at 5.7 rpg. Shot 45.3 percent from three-point range and 81.2 percent from the charity stripe. Scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down nine rebounds against Virginia. Had his best career game against Virginia-Wise, netting 34 points on 13-of-16 shooting.
Freshman (2001-02): Played in every game and was fourth on the team in scoring (11.8 ppg). Was named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team.
Strengths: Proficient long-range shooter with a quick release and good mechanics. Likes to hit the offensive boards.
Personal: Son of Margaret Wade. Has three older sisters. Majored in music.
