Career Highlights: Began playing with Autodorozhnik Saratov juniors, and made his debut with the Saratov seniors in 2000-01. Signed with CSKA Moscow in 2002-03. 2004 Euroleague Final Four: In a semifinal game against Maccabi in Tel Aviv, scored 10 points, but CSKA Moscow fell short 93-85. In the consolation game against Montepaschi Siena, had eight points in a 97-94 win.
2003-04: Posted 7.7 points and 4.1 rebounds in 19.1 minutes per game in the Russian Superleague A, competing on a frontline that boasted three players with NBA experience and two NBA draft candidates. Also averaged 5.9 points and 3.0 rebounds in 16.6 minutes in 21 Euroleague appearances.
2002-03: In his first full season with CSKA Moscow, appeared in 28 games, averaging 7.3 points and 3.2 rebounds. Averaged 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in Euroleague play.
2001-02: Averaged 7.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 40 games for Autodor Saratov, 33 of which were in the Russian League and seven in FIBA Korac Cup play. Also participated in one Euroleague contest, scoring five points vs. Novo Mesto. Played at the 2002 European Under-20 Championships.
2000-01: Made his debut with Autodor Saratov, appearing in four games and averaging 2.0 points and 2.2 rebounds. Played at the 2000 European Junior Championships.
Strengths: According to scouting reports, he’s an athletic forward with a well-built body, solid fundamentals and a good work ethic. Has a nice mid-range jumper and is a solid three-point shooter. Best attribute is his team defense. Knows how to help teammates and is also a good one-on-one defender. Runs the court well with good speed and quickness.
