Career Highlights: Played one season for Southern Nazarene University, a NAIA Division I school in Bethany, Okla., before turning professional. In his one season, earned Third Team All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors. Currently playing for Fuerza Guinda de Nogales in the CIBACOPA league in Mexico, where he scored 47 and 41 points in his first two games.
International Playing Experience: A member of the Mexican National Team who has represented his home country in several international competitions. Led the 2003 Tournament of the Americas in scoring (21.1 ppg), shooting .526 from the field, .450 from three-point range and .854 from the free throw line. Scored 21 points against the United States. Tallied 28 points, six rebounds and five assists against Venezuela. Recorded 27 points against Canada. Registered 21 points and six assists in a win over the Dominican Republic. At the 2003 Pan American Games, led Mexico with 27 points against the Dominican Republic. Helped lead Mexico to a 3-0 Group record and a third place finish at the 2003 Central American Championships. At the 2002 Global Games in Dallas, led the tournament in scoring (25.0 ppg) and ranked sixth in assists (2.6 apg).
Freshman (2002-03): At Southern Nazarene, averaged 24.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists. Led conference and ranked third in the nation in scoring. Recorded season-high 35 points, including 6-for-12 shooting behind three-point range, at Sterling College. Scored 33 points at Oklahoma City. Tallied 30 points and seven assists against Texas Wesleyan. Registered 31 points against Park University. Posted 28 points, 10 rebounds and six assists at Southwest Assemblies of God. Led team with 32 points at St. Gregory’s.
Strengths: A quick guard whose reputation as a scorer and shooter is well-deserved. Hard-nosed defender who puts good pressure on the ball.
