Career Highlights: An All-SEC selection both his sophomore and junior seasons. Finished second on the Gators in scoring each of the past two seasons and went over 1,000 career points in 2004-05. Was the MVP of the SEC Tournament after scoring 26 points against Kentucky in the SEC Tournament Championship game, while averaging 19.3 points in the tournament.
Junior (2004-05): Was a Second Team All-SEC selection by the coaches. Led the Gators in three-point accuracy, hitting 42.6 percent from beyond the arc (69-for-162), and in assists, with 3.0 per contest. Scored in double figures on 21 occasions, including six 20-point games. Averaged 15.0 points in the NCAA Tournament. Led the Gators in assists a team-high 10 times on the year. Missed four games in January with a syndesmotic ankle sprain.
Sophomore (2003-04): Named Second Team All-SEC by both the coaches and the Associated Press. Finished second on the team in scoring at 15.9 ppg, the fifth-highest point total by a Billy Donovan-coached player while at UF. Reached double figures in 26 games on the season. Led the Gators in scoring 12 times. Led the team in free throws made (122) and free throws attempted (148). Led the team in steals, averaging 1.5 takeaways per game. Averaged a team-high 33.1 minutes.
Freshman (2002-03): Scored 26 points in his debut on national television, leading the Gators to a victory over Louisiana Tech in the first round of the Preseason NIT on ESPN. The total was the third-highest opening night output by a freshman in UF history. Followed that with a 20-point performance in the second round against Eastern Illinois, helping him earn both ESPN.com National Player of the Week and SEC Player of the Week. Started all 33 games his freshman season, tops among first-year players in the SEC. Third on the team in scoring at 12.2 ppg.
Strengths: Talented offensive player who moves well without the ball and finds seams in the defense. Solid passer and ball-handler, who can stroke it from deep.
Personal: Wears a rubber band on his left wrist for every game for good luck. Hobbies include reading magazines and listening to music. Favorite movie is “He Got Game.”
