Career Highlights: Named Second Team All-ACC as a senior. Finished career ranked 24th on Wolfpack’s all-time scoring list with 1,301 points. Ranks sixth in school history in three-pointers made (170).
Senior (2003-04): Ranked 12th in the ACC in scoring (14.3 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (8.1 rpg). Pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds at Georgia Tech. Named ACC Player of the Week after posting back-to-back double-doubles against Duke (18 points, 11 rebounds) and Florida State (11 points, 10 rebounds). Scored in double figures 24 times. Had 20 points and 11 rebounds against Wake Forest. Scored 20 points in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament against Louisiana-Lafayette.
Junior (2002-03): Ranked 14th in the ACC in scoring (12.9 ppg) and 11th in rebounding (5.8 rpg). Named Honorable Mention All-ACC. Named to the All-ACC Tournament First Team after averaging 17.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in three games. Scored 23 points in a win over ninth-ranked Wake Forest. Had 21 points and 10 rebounds against Florida State. Scored 15 points in a win over third-ranked Duke. Co-recipient of the team’s “Most Versatile” award.
Sophomore (2001-02): Ranked second on the team in rebounding (5.4 rpg) and third in scoring (10.1 ppg). A Second Team All-ACC Tournament performer, highlighted by a 19-point effort against eventual National Champion Maryland in the semifinals. Had 18 points and 10 rebounds against North Carolina.
Freshman (2000-01): Appeared in 26 games, averaging 4.3 points. Had 18 points against Charleston Southern. Scored 16 points against Penn State.
Strengths: Versatile forward who can play inside and out. Has three-point range. Solid rebounder who gives great effort.
Personal: Majoring in sociology. His first cousin, Chasity Melvin, is a former Wolfpack All-American (1995-98) and is in her sixth season in the WNBA, currently playing for the Washington Mystics.
