Earned 2004 All-Consolation Team honors at Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, averaging 15.7 points and 6.0 rebounds.
Senior (2003-04): Team tri-captain. Led team and ranked fifth in Conference USA in rebounding (7.7 rpg). Missed one game and was hampered in six others with an ankle sprain. Scored in double figures on 17 occasions and was the team’s rebounding leader in 14 games. Grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds against Marquette, adding 14 points and three steals.
Junior (2002-03): Logged double-doubles in five of his last six games. Fourth-leading scorer and third-leading rebounder for the Cardinals. Earned Most Valuable Player honors in leading Louisville to its first Conference USA Tournament title, averaging 15.2 points, 11.5 rebounds (grabbing a tournament record 37 rebounds) and shooting 87 percent from the field (26-of-30) in three games. Totaled 17 points, 14 rebounds and three assists against UAB in the C-USA Tournament Championship game. Closed the regular season with 19 points, 15 rebounds and six assists against Charlotte.
Sophomore (2001-02): No. 2 scorer and rebounder for the Cardinals. Scored in double figures in 16 games. Had five double-doubles on the season, including 14 points and 11 rebounds against Temple in the second round of the NIT. Scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against Murray State.
Freshman (2000-01): Starter in 16 games as a freshman, scoring in double figures on nine occasions.
Strengths: Good rebounder and handles ball well for his size. Has a good nose for the ball. Plays the game with high energy at all times.
Personal: Father, Eddie Whitehead, also played at Louisville (1963-66). Brother, Pax, played at Vanderbilt and sister, Maya, played at Florida. Majored in communications.
