Career Highlights: Instrumental in Xavier’s first run to the “Elite Eight” and named to NCAA All-Regional Team after averaging a team-best 21.8 points and dishing out a team-high 3.8 apg. Scored 31 points in second round win over Mississippi State. Earned the 2004 A-10 Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Award after averaging 17.5 points and 3.8 assists and shooting 59.1 percent from the field in four games. Had 236 career three-pointers, one shy of the XU record. Finished 14th on Xavier’s all-time scoring list (1,556 points).
Senior (2003-04): Named to the Atlantic 10 Conference Third Team by coaches. Led the team and finished 8th in the A-10 in scoring (16.6 ppg). Finished second on the team with 3.2 apg (12th in A-10) and second with 2.7 three-point field goals made per game (4th in A-10). Scored in double figures in 32 games, including 17 of last 18, and finished 16 games with 20 or more points. His 101 three-pointers made is three shy of the XU single-season record.
Junior (2002-03): Finished third on the team in scoring (12.0 ppg) and second in assists (4.0 apg). Had a 1.5-to-1.0 assist-to-turnover ratio (10th in A-10). Missed seven games in January after undergoing surgery for a broken bone in his right foot. Scored in double figures in 17 games, including each of the last eight.
Sophomore (2001-02): Named to the A-10 Third Team by conference coaches and the 2002 Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team. Started all 32 games at point guard. Led Xavier with 134 assists (4.2 apg) and finished third in scoring (12.0 ppg, 19th in A-10). Scored in double figures 19 times, including 19 points in A-10 Championship win over Richmond and 15 points in NCAA Tournament First Round win over Hawaii.
Freshman (2000-01): Finished sixth on the team in scoring (8.9 ppg), third in assists (1.9 apg) and second in steals (1.3 spg, 19th in A-10). Played in all 29 games as a freshman.
Strengths: A talented floor leader with good speed and quickness. Ability to pull up from long range or drive to the hoop makes for a versatile scoring presence.
Personal: Became first XU men’s basketball player to earn A-10 Conference All-Academic Team honors in 2004. Earned his undergraduate degree in communication arts in May 2003 and began a master’s degree in counseling.
