Career Highlights: Earned Third Team All-Big Ten honors from the league coaches and the media his junior and senior seasons. Finished career as Michigan’s 15th all-time leading scorer with 1,505 points, fourth all-time in career free throw percentage at 81.4 percent, seventh all-time in assists with 364 and third all-time in steals with 169. Is the first player in school history to record at least 1,400 points, 600 rebounds, 300 assists and 150 steals.
Senior (2003-04): Averaged 12.1 points and a team-leading 5.7 rebounds. Also led team in assists (3.8) and steals (1.8). Scored season-high 22 points against Central Michigan. Posted 21 points in season opener against Oakland. Recorded a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds against Purdue. Tallied nine points, eight rebounds and a career-high 10 assists against Iowa. Earned team’s MVP and Outstanding Defensive Player awards.
Junior (2002-03): Averaged 11.7 points and 6.1 rebounds. Scored season-high 21 points against Iowa. Tallied 20 points and eight rebounds against Bowling Green. Registered 13 points and 11 rebounds against Minnesota. Nearly posted a triple-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists against Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament.
Sophomore (2001-02): Averaged 12.1 points and 4.6 rebounds. Posted season-high 20 points twice, against Ohio State and against Purdue. Tallied 12 points, 10 rebounds and six assists against Minnesota. Scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds against Wisconsin. Recorded career-high five steals against Central Michigan. Named Big Ten co-Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 6.
Freshman (2000-01): Averaged 14.4 points and 4.9 rebounds. Scored career-high 23 points against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament. Recorded 20 points against Maryland and 18 points against St. John’s in the BB&T Classic, earning All-Tournament honors. Shot 8-for-11 from the field on his way to 21 points against Wisconsin. Named Team MVP.
Strengths: Showed major improvement over his last two seasons. Well-rounded player who must prove he can make enough shots to play shooting guard in the NBA.
