Career Highlights: Named Third Team All-America by AP as a junior. A consensus Southeastern Conference Player of the Year and unanimous All-SEC First Team pick as a junior. Named to All-SEC Second Team as a senior. Led the SEC in rebounding three consecutive seasons (2000-01 – 2002-03), the first to do so since Shaquille O’Neal. Holds school record with 129 career starts. Ranks seventh all-time in Alabama scoring (1,764 points) and fourth in rebounding (1,184). Recorded 43 double-doubles.

Senior (2002-03): An SEC All-Academic performer. Paced the SEC and ranked 26th nationally in rebounding (9.5 rpg). Was second on team in scoring (14.8 ppg). Scored season-high 29 points at Arkansas. Scorched St. Bonaventure for 28 points and 17 rebounds. Posted 19 points and 14 rebounds in win over Providence. Tallied 18 points and 10 rebounds in win over Xavier.

Junior (2001-02): Led conference in rebounding (8.9 rpg). Grabbed double-digit rebounds 16 times. Recorded 14 double-doubles. Exploded for 25 points and 13 rebounds in win over Auburn. Posted 24 points and 11 rebounds in win over Vanderbilt.

Sophomore (2000-01): Led conference and ranked 12th nationally in rebounding (10.0 rpg). Named to the 2001 postseason NIT All-Tournament First Team after averaging 17.8 points and 13.8 rebounds in Alabama's five NIT games. In the NIT Final Four, recorded 20 points and 16 rebounds in the semifinal game against Detroit and had 17 points and 11 rebounds in the championship game loss to Tulsa.

Freshman (1999-00): Recorded double digits in rebounding in eight games. Ranked second in the SEC in rebounding for conference games and sixth overall (8.1 rpg). Led all freshmen in the SEC in rebounding.

Strengths: He is a consistent rebounder at both ends of the court who has improved his offensive game and shot selection each season.

Personal: Majored in criminal justice. Nicknames include “Helicopter” and “E-Dub.” Cousin of actor Tony Cox whose credits include “Me, Myself and Irene”. His jobs growing up included picking okra and going to the stockyard to sell cows.
