Originally an early entry candidate for the 2002 NBA Draft before withdrawing his name from consideration.

Career Highlights: Was named to Spainís National Team that captured fifth place in the 2002 World Championship of Basketball in Indianapolis. Appeared in six games for a total of 39 minutes. Totaled 17 points, four rebounds and four assists. Hit six of 11 field goal attempts, including three three-point field goals. Scored six points on a pair of threes in Spainís victory over Angola. Came up through the ranks of Spainís lower divisions playing for teams controlled by Tau Ceramica. Loaned to Lucentum Alicante in the LEB for the 1999-2000 season, then stayed on with that team for another season after it was elevated to ACB for 2000-01 season. Switched to Fuenlabrada of the ACB for 2001-02 season, then came home to Tau Ceramica for 2002-03 season.

(2002-03): Played behind former NBA guard and European League star Elmer Bennett at point most of the season for Tau Ceramica, but minutes increased after Bennett was sidelined by injury. In Euroleague games, averaged 7.4 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 40.6% from three-point range. Tallied 18 points vs. Panathinaikos. Notched six assists without a turnover in 30 minutes vs. Zalgiris Kaunas.

(2001-02): After switching to Fuenlabrada in the ACB, saw his playing time curtailed to 18.6 minutes per game. Averaged 9.6 points and 1.7 assists while shooting career-best .832 from free throw line.

(2000-01): In his ACB debut for Lucentum Alicante, averaged 8.6 ppg while playing 25.3 minutes per game.

(1999-00): Playing in the LEB (lower division) for Lucentum Alicante, averaged 8.9 points and 2.1 rebounds.

Strengths: Scouting reports indicate he has good floor vision and handle for the point guard position. Has worked to become a better long-range shooter, but has an excellent first step and adept at penetrating into lane for shot or pass.
