  Named First Team All-America by Parade Magazine.   Named a McDonald's All-America player, although a sprained ankle kept him from competing in the All-America Game.
  Named EA Sports High School All-American.
  Honored as the 2A Player of the Year in Alabama as a senior.
  Came to the United States from the Republic of Mali in West Africa in 1998.
  Played soccer for many years in Mali.

  Brother Daouda was a freshman basketball player at Louisville during the 2000-01 season.
