No. 8 pick, Cleveland Cavaliers
Q: How do you feel being selected No. 8 and going to Cleveland?
I feel good, I feel great. I'm happy because they need a center.
Q: Did you have any idea that the Cavaliers were going to select you?
I didn't have that feeling because when I worked out, I didn't think they liked me. I'm happy.
Q: Did you have a lot of contact with the team before the draft?
They came to watch me to work out in New Jersey, where I worked out like an hour and a half.
Q: What were your impressions of the team?
They said they didn't think they were going to take me. They said they needed a center. I asked them what they liked about my game, they said they liked my shot. I can shoot the ball pretty good.
Q: Did you think you should have been selected higher than No. 8? Or are you happy at being selected at that spot?
That's good for me. I wanted to be number one, two or three. But that's good for me. I'm just happy to be here. I love it.
Q: Do you think you're ready to play at the NBA level?
I'm willing to learn to get better, but I have confidence in myself.
Q: What do you think your biggest adjustment will be in making the transition to the NBA?
I have to work on my offensive game a lot more. I can score more. I just have to work to get better offensively. I need to work on everything.
Q: How is your foot?
That's the first question everybody asks me. My foot feels good. It's good.
Q: Who is here from your family?
My mom is here, my sister and my two brothers are here.
Q: Is that the first time they've been here in States?
Yeah, it's the first time.
