NBA Draft 2001: Wednesday, June 27
Eddy Curry

Eddy Curry
No. 4 pick, Chicago Bulls

Q: How do you feel about going to the Bulls?

Curry: I feel real confident about going to play with them. They've got great coaches there -- it's going to help me to improve and as soon as I improve, the team is going to improve, because I'm going to give them my all and I'm going to help them turn the program around.

Q: Were you a Bulls fan growing up in the Chicago area?

Curry: Since Michael [Jordan] was there, yeah. Since Michael was there I was a Bulls fan.

Q: Is there pressure on you coming in with the Bulls having been down for a couple of years?

Curry: I don't think so. I think I'm just going to be expected to come in and play hard and give it my all. And as long as I do that, I don't think there's going to be any added pressure on me.

Q: What do you bring to the Bulls?

Curry: I can bring to the table every night. Every night we play, I'm going to give it 100 percent and go for a victory every single night.

Q: Are you concerned about playing 82 games?

Curry: Not really. That's something you really can't prepare for. I mean, you can do a lot of conditioning stuff, but just playing 82 games in the NBA season, that's kind of hard. But, it's just something I'll have to get used to.

Q: What type of player are you?

Curry: I think I can block shots. I can shoot the ball, play down low. What ever is called upon me to do, that's what I'll do for the Bulls.
