Prospect Analysis

Strengths

  • Length (7-foot wingspan)
  • Excellent offensive rebounder
  • Can guard multiple positions
  • Good shot blocker

Weaknesses

  • Free-throw shooting

NBA projection: Reddic has been projected by some draft analysts as a late second-round pick.

2013-14 Season

Reddic led VCU in rebounding and finished second in scoring, field-goal percentage, blocked shots and steals as the Rams earned an NCAA tournament berth for the fourth consecutive season. That’s a school record, and VCU is just the second Division I program in Virginia to play in four straight NCAAs.

Key statistics: 11.8 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.3 spg, 1.2 bpg, 27.9 mpg, .509 FG, .33 3PT, .548 FT

Cool statistic: Reddic is the only player in VCU history to rank in the top 20 in scoring (14th, 1,438 points) and top 10 in rebounds (3rd, 895), blocked shots (6th, 123) and steals (8th, 160).

What Insiders Say

VCU coach Shaka Smart

“He’s done a really good job going after rebounds and even going after rebounds on days or nights when his offense wasn’t going as well. That helps our team in a big way.”

What Outsiders Say

Chattanooga coach Will Wade

‘He’s really good in the open floor when he gets out in transition. But he’s got to work in tighter spaces. Anytime you make him work in tight space, his production goes down.”
