Areas of Strength:
Resilience. Is there any team in basketball that has encountered as much adversity the past four years and still found a way to compete for playoff spots year after year? From injuries to key players like Roy and Oden and even coach Nate McMillan to the front office upheaval that has seen both Kevin Pritchard and Rich Cho shown the exit from the general manager's office in the past 11 months, the Trail Blazers have dealt with it all. And yet they're still a playoff team.

Needs Work:
Overall depth. So much of what this team will look like in the near future depends on the health of Roy and Oden, and whether or not the Trail Blazers have figured out what to do with Oden. Despite having prime draft picks in the past five to six years, there isn't much to show for it. Help is wanted and needed up and down the roster.

Two Stats That Matter:
76.9 -- The winning percentage of the Trail Blazers' best five-man unit, which consisted of Miller, Fernandez, Matthews, Batum and Aldridge.

246 -- The increase in the number of shots taken by Aldridge last season compared to the year before, when he was the No. 2 option behind Roy. That works out to roughly three more shots per game, which doesn't seem like much -- until you realize Aldridge increased his scoring average by nearly four full points (from 17.9 to 21.8).

The Way To Go:
Much like the other teams in the division, the Trail Blazers are picking on the outside of the Lottery. So they'll have to do their homework to make sure they mine an impact player at this point in what by most standards is a relatively weak draft. With the 19th pick in the Draft, they'll likely have their pick of an assortment of power forward types.
