Oklahoma City Thunder Team Overview

2010-11 record: 55-27

First place, Northwest Division

Lost in conference finals to Dallas

DRAFT PICKS:

Round: 1

Areas of Strength:
The Thunder's youth, athleticism and chemistry remain strong. Durant is the two-time scoring champ and both he (First Team) and Westbrook (Second Team) were named to All-NBA teams. James Harden and Serge Ibaka emerged as significant factors, helping bolster the Thunder's depth and star power.

Needs Work:
The Thunder still don't have a true low-post scoring threat to balance the floor. Durant, Westbrook and Harden have shown themselves to be dynamic scorers in a variety of ways. But none of them can park in the lane and force the action around the basket.

Two Stats That Matter:
8.2
-- For all the complaints about him not being a willing passer during the postseason, Westbrook finished the regular season ranked third in assists.

28.6 -- Not much changed for Kevin Durant in the playoffs. The two-time NBA scoring champ departed the playoffs in the Western Conference finals as the postseason's leading scorer as well.

The Way To Go:
The Thunder don't exactly need another young player to add to their mix. That's why it's to their benefit to have the 24th pick in the Draft, a place where seasoned college players are usually plentiful. The Thunder need another big body, such as a power forward or center that can contribute immediately as opposed to a long-term project.
