Areas of Strength:
Barring injury, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James should bolster the swing positions for years. And of course, same for Chris Bosh at power forward, where Miami also brings a capable backup in Udonis Haslem.

Needs Work:
Point guard. Center. Miami was forced to use some players at those positions who had no business being in the NBA, much less getting 10 minutes here and there. Joel Anthony excluded, of course, although he might be better suited as a backup.

Two Stats That Matter:
123 -- That's how many games Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Erick Dampier started at center during the regular season, and yet they couldn't get a whiff in the postseason.

2 -- Mike Miller, the designated long-distance shooter who was hurt early by a wrist injury, averaged just a pair of baskets per game.

The Way To Go:
The Heat probably won't find immediate help at the point guard and center positions via the Draft, and even if they did, probably wouldn't put a rookie in a tough position once the playoffs arrive. But Miami should try, anyway. That's how weak those spots are.
