* Good body, athletic with long arms (6-7 wingspan)
* Good shooter with 3-point range
* Shoots well as spot up guy in corner or off bounce to his left hand
* Jumps well
* Doesn't do much besides shoot
* Undersized shooting guard by NBA standards
* Not a point guard
Second-round draft pick at best. Team looking for a "shooting specialist" on the perimeter; leave him in Europe for development. He needs time.
Not seeing significant playing time for Asvel Lyon and is a teammate of Paul Lacombe, another NBA Draft International prospect.
2010-11 Asvel – France Pro A: 8 mpg, 2.5 ppg, 1.3 rpg. FG 50%, FT 89%
Father Skeeter Jackson is a former American college star who became a naturalized French citizen while playing professionally in France. He competed for the national team in the late '80s and early '90s and at the club level from 1988-2005.
Part of the roster of French National Team in last FIBA World Championship in Turkey. He won the silver medal in the U20 Eurobasket 2009. He scored 32 points (including six of eight 3s) and grabbed eight rebounds but fell short against Kosta Papanikolaou's Greece.
Reminds me of:
Poor man's Eric Gordon, Charlie Bell
What the Experts Say:
Carl Berman, Basketball Times & NetScouts Basketball
"Jackson is a streak shooter who needs to develop better point guard skills to have a better chance of sticking in the NBA. He has the athleticism but not the height to play off guard for any extended time."
