Tulsa's Showcase Games Announced

TULSA, Okla., Nov. 10, 2011— The NBA D-League announced Thursday that the Tulsa 66ers will play games against the Texas Legends on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 5:30 p.m. CT and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 2:45 p.m. CT as part of the 2012 NBA D-League Showcase, hosted this season in Reno, Nev., inside the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority.

The league has also announced that the 66ers games against the Mad Ants on Thursday, Jan. 12, will be televised live on NBA TV. The four-day, 16-game NBA D-League Showcase tips off Monday, Jan. 9. The Showcase welcomes general managers, player personnel staff, and scouts from each of the 30 NBA teams who will be in attendance to evaluate the league’s talent.

Conceived prior to the 2004-05 season, the NBA D-League Showcase provides an opportunity for NBA D-League players and coaches to perform in front of NBA general managers, player personnel executives and scouts over four consecutive days at one location. The 2012 event will feature each NBA D-League team competing in two games each over four days.

The 66ers open the 2011-12 NBA D-League season on the road with back-to-back contests against the Idaho Stampede on Nov. 25 and 26. Tulsa’s home opener is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3, against the Austin Toros at 7 p.m.
