Offensively, Tulsa recorded 26 assists on the evening. On the boards, the 66ers held a distinct 49-32 advantage.
Larry Owens returned to the lineup for the 66ers after a GATORADE Call-Up to the San Antonio Spurs. Owens posted six points and three rebounds. However, Tulsa was without point guard Tweety Carter for the third straight game and forward Latavious Williams for the second consecutive contest, both due to injuries.
Leading the way for Texas was Antonio Daniels with a game-high 27 points and Joe Alexander with 16 points and 10 boards.
Despite the defeat, Tulsa remains in first place in the Western Conference.
The 66ers will return to the court next Friday, Feb. 11 when they host the Utah Flash inside the Tulsa Convention Center at 7 p.m. CT. The game will mark the team’s annual “Thunder Affiliate Night.”
