FRISCO, Texas, April 6, 2011 The Tulsa 66ers (1-0) improved to 1-0 in a best-of-three series against the Texas Legends (0-1) in the first round of the 2011 D-League Playoffs Wednesday night by winning on the road by a 94-83 final inside Dr. Pepper Arena. Leading the Tulsa charge was Jerome Dyson with 23 points and Marcus Lewis with 14 points and 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. Additionally, center Cole Aldrich pitched in eight points, seven boards and three blocked shots.

Also scoring in double figures for Tulsa was Robert Vaden with 20 and Elijah Millsap with 12.

Tulsa, the fourth overall seed, led by as many as 12 in the contest and improved to 6-3 overall against the Legends this season. As a team, the 66ers recorded 19 assists, led by four from forward Lewis.

The eighth-seeded Legends were led by Joe Alexander with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Sean Williams with 11 points and 17 boards.

Defensively, the 66ers held the Legends to 32-73 (.438) shooting from the floor and forced 22 turnovers, including 12 steals. Garrett Williamson and Lewis led the 66ers in thefts with three each.

The 66ers were without Larry Owens, Matt Bouldin and Latavious Williams Wednesday night. Owens became the 22nd GATORADE Call-Up of the 2010-11 season by signing with the Washington Wizards for the remainder of the season earlier in the day. Bouldin and Williams were held out due to injury.

The two Western Conference foes will square off for Game Two of the best-of-three series this Friday night, April 8, in Tulsa inside the Tulsa Convention Center at 7 p.m.
