Tulsa Acquires Anderson and Future Draft Pick

TULSA, Okla., December 19, 2013 - The Tulsa 66ers, proud affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, have acquired forward Ron Anderson and a future draft pick in separate transactions, the team announced Thursday.

Tulsa acquired Anderson, a member of the 66ers during the 2012-13 season, through his returning player rights in addition to receiving the Iowa Energy’s 2014 third round pick in exchange for forward Larry Owens.

Anderson (6-8, 260) returns to Tulsa after spending the past three months in Argentina playing for Estudiantes Concordia. Anderson averaged 6.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists with Tulsa last season and 7.9 points and 6.8 rebounds in 16 games in Argentina. The University of South Florida product was also a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 2013 NBA Summer League squad.

Anderson is expected to be in uniform this evening when Tulsa hosts the Reno Bighorns at the SpiritBank Event Center at 7 p.m. For ticket information, visit Tulsa66ers.com.
