Tulsa 66ers Release 2011-12 D-League Schedule
The 66ers home opener is slated for Dec. 3 against the Austin Toros inside the Tulsa Convention Center at 7 p.m. The Tulsa-Austin contest is the first of 24 home games that will be played inside the Tulsa Convention Center.
“We are pleased that 16 out of our 24 home games will be played on weekends at the Tulsa Convention Center,” 66ers president Jim Brylewski said. “This season we will continue to enhance the overall family experience for our fans at affordable prices.”
Included in the home slate are back-to-back matchups against the D-League defending champions, Iowa Energy, on March 23 and 24.
The NBA D-League Showcase will once again be played this season and take place in mid-January. An announcement with specific details on the event will be announced at a later date. In addition to the NBA D-League Showcase, the NBA D-League All-Star Game is scheduled for Feb. 25 in Orlando.
Tulsa is coming off a 33-win season in 2010-11, marking the most regular season victories in team history. The 66ers advanced to the D-League playoffs for the second consecutive year.
“The entire Tulsa organization is excited to continue the success of the previous two seasons,” third year 66ers head coach Nate Tibbetts said. “The Oklahoma City Thunder does a great job of providing us the resources to succeed and help our players grow on and off the court every single day.”
