TULSA 66ERS RECORD OPENING WEEKEND SWEEP OF IDAHO STAMPEDE

BOISE, Idaho, Nov. 26, 2011 Jerome Dyson poured in 26 points, Marcus Lewis posted 20 points and a game-high 16 rebounds and Ryan Reid added 14 points and 12 boards as the Tulsa 66ers (2-0) completed an opening weekend sweep of the Idaho Stampede (0-2) with a 97-85 victory Saturday night in Boise.

Tulsa, who recorded an 89-76 victory over Idaho Friday night to open the 2011-12 NBA D-League season, outscored Idaho by a 28-18 margin in the fourth quarter to secure its second consecutive victory.

It also marked the second straight game Lewis recorded 16 rebounds to lead the 66ers. As a team, Tulsa dominated the glass by a 50-31 margin.

Also scoring in double figures for the 66ers was Dwight Buycks with 11. Collectively, Tulsa recorded 14 assists, led by three each from Dyson and Buycks.

Defensively, the 66ers were strong for the second consecutive evening by forcing 18 Stampede turnovers, including seven steals. Reid, Dyson and Xavier Alexander led the team with two thefts each.

Leading the Stampede in the scoring column was Tony Bobbitt with 17 points. Seth Tarver pitched in 15 points and Kevin Galloway dished out a game-high nine assists for Idaho.

The 66ers return to the court next Wednesday, Nov. 30, when they travel to Frisco, Texas, to take on the Texas Legends at 7 p.m. CT.
