The Tulsa 66ers returned to their hardwood for the first time since April on Friday afternoon, hosting their first training camp session of the 2013-14 season. The newly-assembled 17-man training camp squad participated in a two-hour practice under the direction of second-year coach Darko Rajakovic.

Following the practice inside the SpiritBank Event Center, Tulsa66ers.com caught up with Rajakovic to talk about what he saw out of his team in their first time on the court together.



 



 

 

 







 

THE ROAD AHEAD

Tulsa heads south to Carrollton, Texas for a pair of exhibition games against the Texas Legends on Thursday, Nov. 14 and the Erie BayHawks on Friday, Nov. 15.

The 66ers open the regular season at home against the Iowa Energy on Nov. 22 and 23 inside the SpiritBank Event Center.

Among the returning 66ers is forward Larry Owens, who has spent three previous years in Tulsa. The Oral Roberts product owns the 66ers career records for points (1,731), field goals made (662), field goals attempted (1,412), steals
(187), games played (137), games started (118) and minutes played (4,281).

Fifteen players who have spent time with the Tulsa 66ers, including six who played for Tulsa in
2012-13, began the 2013-14 season on NBA opening night rosters. Twenty-four percent of all current NBA players have experience playing in the NBA D-League.
