Following Wednesday's practice, Tulsa66ers.com met up with 66ers forward Hollis Thompson. A rookie out of Georgetown, Thompson spent the summer working out with the Oklahoma City Thunder, competing in OKC's training camp and preseason as well.

Now a member of the 66ers through the NBA affiliate rule, Thompson has seen action in seven games (three starts). The forward averages 6.1 points per game alongside 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

Thompson talks about the improvements he's made while with the 66ers, the OKC-Tulsa connection and how the team continues to improve day by day.

·The 66ers (5-2) head west to California for a pair of weekend games against the Bakersfield Jam (5-3).

·Tulsa picked up a pair of home wins on Saturday and Sunday over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, winning 109-98 on Saturday and 85-81 on Sunday.

·The Oklahoma City Thunder has assigned five different players to the Tulsa 66ers this season - the most D-League assignees of any NBA team this year. Reggie Jackson, Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb, DeAndre Liggins, and Daniel Orton have also seen time in a 66ers uniform this season.

·Only seven games into the 2012-13 season, the 66ers have already received its largest amount of assigned players in the team's eight-year history.

·In addition the assigned players, Tulsa’s roster also includes Oklahoma City Training Camp invites Andy Rautins and Hollis Thompson. As of Dec. 11, Rautins leads the D-League in 3-point field goals with 22.
