Next Up: Tulsa vs. Iowa Sunday

TULSA, Okla., Dec. 18, 2010 -- The Tulsa 66ers (6-5) will complete a three-game homestand this Sunday, Dec. 19, when they take on the Iowa Energy (9-2) at 4 p.m. inside the Tulsa Convention Center.

Sunday’s contest will mark the third meeting this season between the two teams. Iowa defeated Tulsa at home by a 123-111 final score on Nov. 26 before the 66ers bounced back in game two of the back-to-back to win on Nov. 27, 116-108.

The overall series between the 66ers and Energy is tied, 5-5, while Tulsa owns a 5-3 mark over Iowa at home. The matchup Sunday is the final scheduled game between the two teams in the regular season.

Tulsa is coming off of a 92-80 defeat to Fort Wayne at home on Friday evening. Iowa, who leads the East Conference, is coming off a 104-103 home victory over the Erie BayHawks on Friday.

The Tulsa 66ers will celebrate the holiday season on Sunday with special performances by the 66ers junior dance team, Oklahoma Dance Academy and by the 66ers dance team.

Additionally, the 66ers and the YMCA of Greater Tulsa are teaming to host a “Warm Feet Drive.” Fans are encouraged to bring socks to support the Project Elf initiative that provides socks to children during the winter months.

For each pair of socks donated a fan will receive a raffle ticket for prizes that include Oklahoma City Thunder tickets, a team autographed 66ers basketball and a three month family membership to a local YMCA. All fans that attend Sunday’s contest will receive a free one week membership to any Tulsa YMCA.
