Here are three fan-submitted questions with Coach Darko’s answers in this week’s mail bag:

How did you see the Thunder’s younger players improve while at summer league in Orlando? – Jacob in Sapulpa
“It was great to see our younger players develop and get to know our system better. They executed our offense and defense better and grew more as a team by playing together. I think a big thing for us was that all of our players were on the same page. We did a good job defensively and it was obvious that the hard work our guys have been putting in this summer is paying off. It was a great time for us to see their development in games, not just workouts. It was a great opportunity for us.”

What was your experience like as one of the assistant coaches at summer league? – Emily in Tulsa
“This was a great experience for me. I had a lot of responsibilities and I think Coach Rex did a great job of involving all of the coaches. He did a great job leading our group and organizing everyone’s input. I also enjoyed working with a lot of players who I’ve coached this past year in Tulsa. It was a great experience.”

What did you see in the Thunder’s new draft picks during your time with them at summer league? – Clinton in Edmond
“All three guys that we had a chance to see in summer league are great guys and are talented players. Steven Adams played very well. He showed a lot of talent and potential along with a capacity to learn and pick up on things quickly. Andre Roberson is an energy guy that is a great defender and rebounder. He’s playing at a high level right now and still has room to improve on both sides of the ball, which is a really good thing. Grant Jerrett showed some skills we knew were there but also was able to adapt very quickly to our system. He did a good job shooting the ball throughout summer league. I’m excited to see how all three of them continue to improve throughout the summer.”
