Committed to Community: Reading Timeout at McClure Elementary

Thursday afternoon, Tulsa 66ers players Marcus Lewis and Robert Vaden visited McClure Elementary School in Tulsa for a Reading Timeout.

The two players read to the students and then participated in a question-and-answer session.

“It is always a good time to come out and hang out with students from all over Tulsa,” Lewis said. “It was a fun afternoon and it's cool to answer all of their questions they have for us. We love the support the Tulsa community shows us and it is fun to return the favor.”

McClure Media Specialist Rebecca Harris said the students loved having the 66ers players out for a visit.

“The teachers and students felt so special today that the players came out to read and talk to them,” Harris said. “The players did a wonderful job of relaying important messages to the kids that are relevant to them, and we appreciate their time.”
