TULSA, Okla., Jan. 22, 2012— Marcus Lewis and Ryan Reid each recorded double-doubles and all five starters scored in double figures to lead the Tulsa 66ers (12-12) to an 89-78 home win over the Dakota Wizards (10-12) Sunday evening inside the Tulsa Convention Center.

Lewis posted 15 points and a team-high 16 rebounds for his 15th double-double of the season and Reid added 19 points and 10 boards for his second consecutive double-double.

Also leading the 66ers in scoring was Jerome Dyson with 19, Robert Vaden with 17 and Brady Morningstar with 10.

The 66ers connected on over half of their shots on the offensive end, going 36-of-68 (.529) from the floor. Also aiding Tulsa in the victory was a 21-4 advantage in fast break points.

Defensively, Tulsa forced 26 turnovers and created 15 steals, led by Xavier Alexander and Morningstar with three thefts each.

“Both teams were a little fatigued coming off games last night, but I told our guys we wouldn’t have any excuses,” 66ers head coach Dale Osbourne said. “I give our players a lot of credit. We competed extremely hard and played with a lot of effort. It was a great win tonight over a very talented Dakota team.”

Reserve Marcus Dove led the Wizards with 15 points and eight rebounds. Also scoring in double figures for Dakota was Justin Johnson with 15 and Edwin Ubiles with 14.

The 66ers return to action this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27 and 28, with back-to-back home games against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Both contests are scheduled to tip at 7 p.m. CT inside the Tulsa Convention Center.
