TULSA 66ERS DANCE TEAM…AMBASSADORS ON A MISSION

TULSA, Okla., October 4, 2007 – The Tulsa 66ers Dance Team is on a mission to raise money to independently fund their program, while helping to provide support for Ability Resources.

The Tulsa 66ers Dance Team, under the direction of Shari Graham, has come up with new innovative ways to connect with fans. For the 2007-08 season the 66ers Dance Team will offer to fans a professional calendar as well as trading cards to collect and capture your favorite dancers autograph.

The Tulsa 66ers Dance Team members are ambassadors on a mission to bring national attention to Tulsa, make an impact in our community, and take their squad to the next level.

“When I came on board our goal was to change the direction of where the squad was headed,” said Dance Team Director Shari Graham. “We wanted to change how the squad worked which means getting out in the community more, making more appearances, and standing out as much as the NBA teams.”

The Tulsa 66ers will be giving a portion of proceeds from calendars sold to Ability Resources. Ability Resources’ mission is to assist people with disabilities in attaining and maintaining their personal independence. This is achieved through the creation of an environment in which people with disabilities can exercise their rights to control and direct their own lives.

“I am very passionate about this cause,” said Tulsa 66ers team Executive VP Charlie Seraphin. “This is a group of totally dedicated people who are making a huge difference.”

The 66ers are donating $1 from each $10 calendar toward the charity. Fans should call the Tulsa 66ers office at (918) 585-8444 to purchase a calendar and help Ability Resources continue to impact lives, reconnect families, and restore hope.

The 66ers Dance Team Dance Team opened up for national recording group Switchfoot on October 5, 2007 at the Tulsa State Fair.
