66ers Thank Fans at Player Meet and Greet

TULSA, Okla., February 28, 2013 - The Tulsa 66ers hosted a player meet and greet for season-ticket holders at Savastano’s Pizzeria on Wednesday night.

The event gave fans the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the players and to show support for the team.

“You don’t get to do this anywhere else,” said season-ticket holder Therese Lewis. “Especially the NBA, they’re professional and it’s hard for their schedules to do events like this. It’s more of a family setting and it’s really great for the community to visit them. It’s something we look forward to.”

The meet and greet is just one of many community outreach events that takes place throughout the season to show appreciation to the Tulsa area.

“I want to say thank you first of all,” said second-year 66ers guard Brady Morningstar. “We appreciate all the support. I know it can probably be a struggle to come to all the games because we play quite a bit, but our fan support has grown from last year to even more this year, which is pretty awesome.”

The 66ers have eight home games remaining this season, including two this weekend on Friday and Saturday nights. To purchase tickets, visit 66ers Ticket Central.

“The better the crowd, the more exciting it is, and the better games we play,” said Morningstar.
