66ers Serve Dinner at Salvation Army

TULSA, Okla., Nov. 10, 2010 – The Tulsa 66ers took a timeout from training camp Wednesday afternoon to help serve dinner at the Salvation Army in downtown Tulsa.

The group of 12 66ers helped serve meals to approximately 200 men, women and children.

“We are proud to have the Tulsa 66ers come out and assist us today,” said Carl Johnson, an employee of the Salvation Army. “We really, really appreciate them taking time out of their days to join us for dinner today. I know there are many grateful people here.”

During the visit, the players also took time to hand out D-League Cares bracelets and sign autographs.

“It is really neat to see them come out and spend time with us,” said Carri Minton. “I have even been to a couple of their games. I can’t wait to tell my son, he is a huge 66ers fan. We appreciate them coming out and serving dinner to us.”
