66ers Host Vipers this Friday and Saturday, March 2-3

TULSA, Okla., March 1, 2012— The Tulsa 66ers (16-21) return to the hardwood when they host back-to-back games against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (21-16) this Friday and Saturday, March 2-3. Both contests are scheduled to tip at 7 p.m. CT inside the Tulsa Convention Center.

The weekend home games can be heard in Tulsa on KAKC 1300 AM and be viewed online for free via webcast at nba.com/futurecast.

Friday’s matchup will mark the first between Tulsa and Rio Grande Valley this season and the 22nd battle overall. The two teams are just two years removed from meeting in the NBA D-League finals in 2010.

Tulsa is coming off of a 114-87 setback on the road against the Austin Toros last Wednesday evening. RGV is coming off of a 130-120 victory against Maine also on Wednesday.

The 66ers marketing department has announced in-game entertainment for the weekend games. Friday’s game, presented by Hard Rock Casino, will feature performances by the Webster High School band, the Owasso Dance Company and the Tulsa Theater Arts.

Saturday’s game will feature performances by the Tulsa Union eighth grade choir and from the Chelsea High School band. The Tulsa Sheriff’s Department will also be on hand offering free finger printing for children. Show, INC. will be the non-profit of the night.

Fans will also be entertained both nights by Routie the Roadrunner and the Tulsa 66ers Dance Team.
