66ers Duo Takes Timeout to Read

December 4, 2013

Tulsa 66ers players Xavier Alexander and Isaiah Wilkerson visited Discovery Learning Center in Broken Arrow on Wednesday for a 66ers Reading Timeout.

The 66ers duo read to a room of 50 kindergarteners and reminded the developing readers of the importance of books.

"Reading and hanging out with these kids is a great reminder that there's a lot more than just getting on the court and shooting hoops," said Wilkerson. "This was a great opportunity to set a good example for these kids."

The 66ers participate in various reading and community outreach programs throughout the season to show appreciation to the Tulsa community which they have become a part of.
