66ers in the Community - Summer Update

TULSA, Okla., June 18, 2013 - Although Tulsaís season wrapped up two months ago, the 66ers organization is continuing to make a positive impact in the Tulsa and Bixby communities throughout the offseason.

The 66ers partnered up with St. Francis and Kohlís to host Fun and Fit Clinics at three area schools in late April and early May. Routie the Roadrunner and members of the 66ers Dance Team and staff assisted in health and nutrition school assemblies at Glenpool Elementary, Wright Elementary and Anderson Elementary.

Members of the organization have also had a presence at various festivals and events throughout Green Country. Routie, 66ers dancers and staff members made appearances at the Bixby BBQ and Blues Festival on May 3 and 4, the Brookside Rumble and Roll Brookside Bike Rally on June 6 and the Taste of Bixby on June 13.

The 66ers also brought together the community in support of their NBA affiliate, the Oklahoma City Thunder, throughout its NBA Playoffs run. The 66ers hosted a watch party at Genghis Grill in Bixby while ticket office members met with fans in the Chesapeake Energy Arena concourse during home Thunder playoff games.
