66ers Commitment to Community -- Kipp Preparatory School

TULSA, Okla., March 1, 2010 – Tulsa 66ers players Brandon Brooks, Marcus Lewis and Larry Owens took a timeout on Tuesday afternoon to visit Kipp Preparatory School in Tulsa to speak to students about the value of literacy, staying in school and the importance of education.

Approximately 60 students were in attendance for the visit, which included a questions and answer session. The 66ers paired up with Williams Company for the event.

“We would like to thank the Tulsa 66ers organization for coming out to speak to our students,” Mrs. Baker said. “These players are famous to our students and I know they appreciated the message the players presented today.”
