66ERS COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY--SALVATION ARMY THANKSGIVING MEAL

Tulsa 66ers players and coaching staff visited Tulsa’s downtown Salvation Army Center Tuesday afternoon to help serve hot meals to Tulsa citizens.

Also on hand Tuesday evening at the Salvation Army were members of the Tulsa Transport Workers Union Local 514, who are the 66ers community partners this season.

The players served meals from 4:00-5:15 p.m. to approximately 250 Tulsa citizens prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

“The downtown Salvation Army serves about 900 people each day, three meals a day,” head cook Wanda Gaut said. “We appreciate the Tulsa 66ers and Tulsa Transport Workers Union for donating their time to help us serve meals to those in need, especially around the Thanksgiving holiday.”
