66ers to Host Stampede, "Kids Day" on Wednesday

TULSA, Okla., March 5, 2012— The Tulsa 66ers (17-22) return to the court this Wednesday, March 7, against the Idaho Stampede (16-21) at 11 a.m. CT on “Kids Day” inside the Tulsa Convention Center.

The Western Conference matchup can be heard in Tulsa on KAKC 1300 AM and be viewed online for free via webcast at nba.com/futurecast.

On the court will be the 66ers and Stampede, who have met four times already this season. Tulsa began the season 2-0, before Idaho has taken the last two matchups to tie the season series.

The 66ers are coming off of an impressive 109-100 win over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers last Saturday night at home. Idaho won its last matchup against the Dakota Wizards on Sunday, 86-82.

The special day will aim at educating area children why it is important to lead healthy and active lifestyles.

Entertaining the hundreds of local kids expected in attendance Wednesday will be mascots Routie the Roadrunner, Brisco and Obi the Blood Drop.

Also available for kids’ enjoyment will be free finger printing by the Tulsa Sheriff’s Department, a photobooth and a mini dunk station. Performing will be J2Crew, Tulsa’s premier “Edutainment” company, and a halftime dunk team.
