NEW YORK, Jan. 8, 2013 – The Dallas Mavericks today signed guard Mike James of the Texas Legends for the 12th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2012-13 NBA Development League season. James joins more than 115 NBA players with NBA D-League experience currently on NBA rosters.
James (6-2, 190, Duquesne) played in two games for the Legends, including one at the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase in Reno, Nev., averaging 18.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 34.0 minutes before signing with Dallas.
An 10-year NBA veteran, James owns NBA careers averages of 10.4 points, 3.6 assists and 24.9 minutes.
James is expected to join the Mavericks today and be available tomorrow, Jan. 9, when the team hosts the Los Angeles Clippers.
