TEXAS LEGENDS CARE PARTNERS WITH INTOUCH CREDIT UNION TO HOST LAS VEGAS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB CLINIC

HOSTS PARTICIPANTS AT DALLAS MAVERICKS SUMMER LEAGE GAME

Texas Legends Care (a 501c3 non-profit organization) hosted a youth basketball clinic for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18 at the Las Vegas Boys and Girls Clubs this past Saturday. The clinic, intended for under-privileged youth in the Las Vegas area, was presented by InTouch Credit Union and included visits by Dallas Mavericks General Manager and Texas Legends Owner Donnie Nelson, as well as 1994 NBA Coach of the Year and Texas Legends General Manager Del Harris.

Our sincere thanks to Texas Legends Care for taking the time to come to our Boys and Girls Club, and not only teach some basketball skills, but more importantly impart some of the character traits and values that will be essential for our youth moving forward,” commented Boys and Girls Club Program Director Jeff Pinkard..

With more than 100 participants, the clinic gained immediate traction in the community. Following the clinic, participants also received the opportunity to attend the afternoon’s NBA Summer League games, including a game featuring the Dallas Mavericks against the Sacramento Kings.

“When Texas Legends Care approached us about partnering on this initiative, we were on board immediately,” commented InTouch Manager of Public Relations Sherry Cassidy. “This was a tremendous opportunity to give back to the community in a unique and creative way. In many ways, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these youth basketball players.”
